Email support@gymanna.com with what happened and what you expected. If it's about a specific workout, telling us the date helps.

Common questions

How do I bring in my old notes?

On the Today screen, tap the import button in the top right. Either paste your notes directly, or pick a .txt or .md file. Nothing is saved until you review it. Anything the app is unsure about is flagged, with every alternative reading it found, so you can pick the right one.

Why is a workout marked "needs review"?

Because a line in your notes could be read more than one way — for example if it records several attempts, or a weight without saying whether it was per hand or in total. Flagged values are deliberately left out of your trends and personal bests until you confirm them. Open the workout in History and resolve it.

What does "per hand" versus "total" mean?

A weight number on its own is ambiguous: 20 lb could be one dumbbell in each hand, or 20 lb altogether. The app records which you meant so that trends compare like with like. Where the meaning is unknown, that set is left out of volume rather than counted incorrectly.

How do I back up my workouts?

Settings → Backup → Export JSON. That file contains everything, including the original text of anything you imported, and can be restored later. CSV is also available if you'd rather work in a spreadsheet. We recommend exporting every so often — your data lives only on your device.

Will my workouts move to a new iPhone?

If you transfer directly from your old phone during setup, yes. Restoring from an iCloud backup is less reliable for apps installed through TestFlight, because the app itself cannot be re-downloaded. Keep a JSON export and you're covered either way.

The app stopped opening after a while.

TestFlight builds expire 90 days after they are uploaded. Open TestFlight and install the current build. Your data is untouched by this.

How do I delete everything?

Settings → Delete all data. That clears every workout, import and preference from the device. It cannot be undone, so export first if there's anything you want to keep.

Does it need an internet connection?

No. Everything except opening a technique video works with no connection at all.

Please don't send us your full workout history. We don't need it, and we'd rather not hold it.
