Privacy Policy
Effective 5 August 2026 · Enqbator, LLC
The short version. GymAnna has no accounts and no servers. Your workouts are stored on your iPhone and are not transmitted to us or to anyone else. We cannot see your data, because there is nowhere for it to go.
1. Who this covers
This policy applies to the GymAnna iPhone app, published by Enqbator, LLC ("we", "us"), and to this website at www.gymanna.com.
2. What the app stores, and where
Everything GymAnna records is written to a database inside the app's own private storage area on your device. That includes:
- Workout dates, times and types
- Exercises, sets, repetitions, weights, units, steps and hold times
- Notes you write, on a session, an exercise or a single set
- Your exercise library, any technique links you save, and your templates
- Reminder settings, if you enable reminders
- The original text of any notes you import, kept verbatim so a value can always be checked against its source
None of it is sent anywhere. The app contains no networking code — no requests are made to us or to any third party.
3. What we collect
Nothing, from the app. We operate no servers that receive your data, and the app contains no networking code. Specifically, GymAnna does not collect or transmit:
| Category | Status |
|---|---|
| Name, email or account details | Not collected — there are no accounts |
| Analytics or usage statistics | Not collected — no analytics library is present |
| Advertising identifiers | Not collected — there is no advertising |
| Location | Not collected — the app never requests it |
| Contacts, photos or calendars | Not accessed |
| Crash or diagnostic reports | Not collected by us. Apple may collect these if you have opted in with Apple; we receive only anonymised, aggregated reports through App Store Connect, which contain no workout data |
4. Third parties
YouTube
Each exercise can hold a technique video link that you choose and save. When you tap it, your device opens that link in YouTube or your browser. GymAnna does not fetch the video, does not embed it, and sends nothing about you along with it. Once you leave the app, YouTube's and Google's own privacy practices apply. If you never tap a link, the app makes no outbound connection at all.
Apple
The app is distributed through Apple. Your download, purchase and TestFlight participation are handled by Apple under Apple's privacy policy. We receive only what App Store Connect shows any developer: anonymised, aggregated figures. Your workout data is not part of that.
This website
www.gymanna.com is a set of static pages hosted on Microsoft Azure Static Web Apps. It sets no cookies, runs no analytics, embeds no fonts, scripts or images from anyone else, and has no form to submit. There is nothing on it that identifies you to us.
Azure does keep ordinary web server logs — your IP address, the page requested, the time, and your browser's user-agent string — for security and reliability, as any web host does. We do not use those logs to build a profile, do not connect them to anything in the app, and cannot connect them to you. They are held under Microsoft's privacy statement.
The site is unrelated to your workout data. Nothing you record in the app ever reaches it.
5. Device backups
Worth understanding. GymAnna does not sync to iCloud. However, like most apps, its data is included in your iPhone's own backups — iCloud Backup or an encrypted computer backup — if you have those switched on.
That is a function of iOS, not of GymAnna, and it is what allows your workout history to survive onto a new phone. Backups are governed by Apple's privacy policy and your own iCloud settings. If you would rather your workouts were never included, turn GymAnna off in Settings → your name → iCloud → Manage Storage → Backups — but do keep your own exports, because that also removes your safety net.
6. Apple Health
Apple Health integration is optional and switched off by default. If you enable it and grant permission, GymAnna writes only a workout summary — the type of session, when it started, when it ended, and how long it lasted.
Your sets, repetitions, weights, weight meanings and notes are never written to Apple Health; they stay in the app. Data read from or written to Apple Health is never sent to any cloud service by GymAnna. You can withdraw permission at any time in the Health app, and the app works normally without it.
7. Notifications
Reminders are entirely local. They are scheduled by your device, and no notification service or server is involved. Permission is only requested when you switch reminders on, and never on first launch. You can disable them at any time in the app or in iOS Settings.
8. Your controls
- Export everything — JSON for a complete backup, CSV for a spreadsheet, from Settings → Backup. The file is created on your device and shared only where you choose to send it.
- Delete a single workout — swipe it away in History.
- Delete everything — Settings → Delete all data. This removes every workout, import record and preference from the device.
- Review imported text — the original source of any imported workout is kept and can be read at any time, and an entire import can be rolled back in one step.
- Remove a saved video link — from that exercise in the Library.
Because we hold no copy of your data, requests to access, correct, export or erase it are things you carry out yourself in the app. Uninstalling GymAnna removes its data from your device.
9. Children
GymAnna is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from anyone — of any age — because we collect no information at all.
10. Changes to this policy
If the app's behaviour changes in a way that affects your privacy — for example if cloud sync were ever added — this policy will be updated before that version ships, and the effective date above will change. Material changes will be described in the app's release notes.
